pmGotham WordShooters Photo Contests

Very simply, WordShooters shoot words.

Not literally, of course! Words are good things so we shoot them with our cameras. It's been said that a picture is worth a thousand words. Wordshooters interpret one word through our lenses during each of our contests.

Wordshooters contestants are given a word and are expected to bring our own interpretation of that word to life through our photo (or photos) within the timeframe of the contest deadlines.

WordShooters Contests are based on the combination of two concepts.
The belief that competition will raise the quality of photography through the application of high standards and the idea that artistic vision is best realized with an absolute minimum of outside interference.
