We here at pmGotham believe we are doing our part to help create new edge photography by supporting the efforts of talented emerging photographers through our WordShooters Photo Contests. Through the creation of these ongoing contests of photographic skill, we continue to promote the highest values of professional and artistic merit.
By sponsoring the WordShooters Contests we are seeking to stimulate the creative processes of students, hobbyists and professionals alike. The contests vary in theme and duration but are always judged by the highest standards of photographic and artistic excellence. Our judges are chosen from a field of professional photographers, working photojournalists and established photographic artists shooting and exhibiting in New York City.
The contests' top prizes currently range from $50 up to $500 dependent upon the duration and the level of difficulty. All contests are designed to challenge the skill of entrants while remaining open to the creative interpretation of each photographer.
